Swimming Pool Security

The PoolGuard DAPT-2 Pool Door Alarm is a safety device designed to alert homeowners when a door leading to a swimming pool is opened. This UL-2017 certified water-hazard entrance alarm mounts to doors that provide direct access to a pool area and sounds a loud alert within seconds of being opened, helping prevent unsupervised access by children or pets. It is battery-powered, easy to install, and built to comply with many residential pool safety codes.

California Compliance

This product meets the California requirements of Section 115992 as an “Exit Alarm” for pool safety:

• Exit alarms on the private single-family home’s doors and windows that provide direct access to the swimming pool or spa without any intervening enclosure.
• Whenever any door or window is opened or left ajar, exit alarms shall make either an audible, continuous alarm sound or a repeating verbal warning, such as a notification that “the door to the pool is open.”
• An exit alarm may be battery operated or connected to the electrical wiring of the building.
